Meet

Sarah Drake

Sarah decided that she loved working with people early on in her career. With 30 years’ HR/Learning and Development experience in a range of organisations she has supported leaders and their teams. She has much experience with the design and facilitation of engaging blended learning and working with multidisciplinary teams to explore challenges. Sarah’s recent coaching and facilitation has focussed on the not-for-profit sector including charity leaders, trustees, social entrepreneurs and NHS leaders. She is also comfortable working in other sectors and brings experience in the Oil, Manufacturing, and Higher Education sectors.

Coaching Style and Expertise

At the heart of Sarah’s work is a belief that people have everything they need to make change happen although sometimes they lose sight of their own resources. She brings a broad perspective and works with clients to support them to use their strengths to understand challenges from a variety of perspectives. Sarah is a warm, calm, and compassionate coach who will listen deeply, challenge, and explore during coaching. Sarah's style is to work alongside clients in ways that they find most useful to maximise the impact. Sarah's coaching is a safe, non-judgemental, and confidential space to explore and gain insight around leadership, purpose, career, values, and beliefs as well as an increased sense of well-being.

Sarah values diversity and has a personal commitment to make a difference in the world by supporting people to gain insight and self-awareness. She has worked in Uganda and is a Trustee of a Ugandan based charity.

Testimonials

"Working with Sarah helped me to explore the considerable challenges I was facing managing my team as well as things I wanted to explore in my professional life. Sarah and I worked well together and built a trusting relationship which really got me back on track of identifying what was most important to me and how I could prioritise my time to achieve a more balanced and effective work/life balance"

‘I very much enjoyed my time with Sarah, and she was very responsive in listening to me and tailoring our coaching sessions to meet my needs. The coaching conversations we had were at times challenging although Sarah summarised what I said and explored the themes that emerged. The tools we used worked very well in helping me to reflect and learn about myself. At the end of our time together I felt very positive in how I wanted to move forward in my work life. Sarah created a really supportive space to explore my thoughts and feeling around a range of issues".
