Mike Phillips

Having spent much of his corporate career in senior leadership roles in the energy industry, Mike has a proven track record in leading change, strategy development and delivering growth with teams in Europe, Asia Pacific and the Middle East. He has served on JV boards, regional leadership teams and led global strategic partnerships for BP Plc.

A natural leader with strength in building relationships and engaging with stakeholders, he has developed high-performing teams, embedding values and setting direction whilst learning to navigate internal systems and make choices. He attributes much of his success to building teams that embrace diversity, value unique perspectives and collaborate effectively.

Today Mike works as a coach both in the UK and overseas, he is also a Non-Executive Director and Trustee at Reading University Students Union.

Mike has a passion for coaching and, from his experience, comes a curiosity that can bring a very different perspective to his client’s challenges. It can help them to develop new ideas, bring clarity to their thinking and help them to understand their own behaviours and those of their colleagues allowing them to make a change. He has enjoyed coaching leaders at all levels in a wide range of Public, Private and Not-for-profit organisations.

Critically, Mike encouraged me to think more creatively around my situation.
