David Butterfield

David is a professional coach with an extensive career in the field of learning and development, with experience of private and public organisations. Based in Derbyshire, David is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (FCIPD) with a proven track record in delivering coaching and leadership solutions that deliver measurable results. Coaching Style and Expertise

David has a fundamental belief that people can be the best version of themselves, at work and in their personal lives, and enjoys helping them achieve this goal. Enthusiasm, determination and respect for the individual help to shape his coaching style, which balances positive challenge with a sense of care and concern for the individual. Helping his clients to achieve their goals never fails to inspire him. He enjoys working with people who have diverse ways of looking at life and who may think differently to himself.

David began coaching as a manager to develop his own team, and then to facilitate the learning of fellow leaders. Coaching has become a passion, working with leaders across a broad range of organisations. He has worked for several blue-chip organisations including DHL (supply chain), P&O (logistics) and most recently, as Head of Learning and Development with Aggregate Industries/Holcim (construction, engineering). David has continually developed himself as a coach during this time, becoming formally qualified as an executive coach and mentor. He now works full time as a coach, working with both individuals and teams. He is passionate about providing business coaching and enabling clients to achieve their goals. David’s sector experience includes logistics, construction, engineering, finance, and education.
