Coachee Readiness Outline

Our experience tells us that it is not uncommon for coaching to be introduced into an organisation which only addresses the needs of those that are to coach, and not of those that are to be coached.

We believe it is important to educate and engage all staff about coaching and to clearly outline what coaching is, what it is aiming to achieve and their role and responsibilities as the coachee.

By the end of the programme, participants will be equipped with a basic understanding of coaching in the workplace, have an appreciation of how coaching can provide an effective way of helping them to develop and facilitate their performance.

The topics covered help to prepare people to be coached:

  • The concept of workplace coaching to staff who have little or no experience or understanding of what workplace coaching is or how it works
  • The difference between managing, leading and coaching and how coaching works in practice
  • Outlining key models, skills, and behaviours of effective workplace coaching
  • The best way to utilise the opportunity of coaching to focus, learn and to improve their own performance and outlook
