THIS AWARD IS AIMED AT MANAGERS WHO USE COACHING AS PART OF THEIR DAY-TO-DAY ROLE AND WANT TO IMPROVE THEIR SKILLS.


Aims and Objectives

  • to equip line managers with coaching skills which can be used immediately in the context of day to day business

  • to provide an understanding of coaching theory and the relationships between coaching, leadership, and management

  • to enable line managers to identify and use a coaching style effectively

Outline Approach

We not only aim to deliver an outstanding ILM coaching skills course but ensure that the participants leave with the practical capability to coach at work and really make a positive impact on their own performance and that of their staff.

Our ILM Level 3 Award in Coaching qualification follows the prescribed ILM syllabuses whilst retaining our unique delivery style and method.

Our approach is highly experiential, engaging, and focused on the practical, i.e. what works at work.


Outline Programme

  • Pre and mid-programme 1:1’s with the tutor

  • Four days of coaching skills workshops (2 + 1 + 1)

  • Telephone check-ins with the tutor as required

  • 12 hours of workplace coaching practice

  • A portfolio of evidence of learning

All workshops are separated by a period of about 6 weeks to allow for structured workplace coaching practice.

Progression

For managers who have successfully completed a Level 3 Award in Coaching Qualification or for those who already have a greater level of responsibility for coaching and mentoring within their organisation as part of their day-to-day role may want to consider our Level 5 Certificate in Coaching and Mentoring.
