Benefits

Our ILM accredited coaching training offers clients:

  • An internationally recognised qualifications framework
  • Valuable and transportable qualifications for employees
  • Training to specified and ILM audited levels, yet with flexibility to customise delivery to suit the client culture and context
  • An  integrated approach to training that allows for development at different levels simultaneously (for instance, a programme for line managers at L3, coinciding with a programme for ‘senior coaches’ at L7)

We are able to provide the following Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) Level 7 coaching programmes:

  • Level 7 Certificate in Leadership Mentoring and Executive Coaching
  • Level 7 Diploma in Leadership Mentoring and Executive Coaching

The ILM programmes are modular and are aimed to provide a personal development framework for individuals so they may progress their learning through their working lives in a methodical and practical way which enhances their own skills and delivers value to the organization.

The ILM qualifications framework is highly flexible and practical, and is now probably the best known and regarded workplace development framework in the UK.

Our Level 7 programmes follow the prescribed ILM syllabuses whilst retaining our unique delivery style and method. Our approach is highly experiential, engaging, and focused on the practical – what works at work.

Our intent is not only to deliver an outstanding ILM accredited programme, but to ensure that the participants leave with the practical capability to coach at work, and really make a positive impact on their own performance, and that of their colleagues. Successful candidates on both the Level 7 Certificate and Diploma are eligible to apply for full membership of the Institute (MInstLM).

Programme Delivery

Both the Level 7 Certificate and Diploma comprise a practical, 7-day programme which will:

  • Equip senior leaders and HR professionals with the capabilities to coach at senior executive level as well as take a strategic overview of the application of coaching in their organisation
  • Provide a deep appreciation of coaching practice and the relationships between coaching, leadership and management and the organizational context
  • Develop the capacity to exemplify coaching behaviours and the skills to pass these on to others in the organisation

The Level 7 Certificate programme lasts for approximately 26 weeks and consists of:

  • Seven days of workshops
  • Interim coaching practice sessions at work with candidates' own teams or staff
  • Regular telephone check-ins with Tutor and
  • Pre and Post programme 1:1 with Tutor
  • 40+ hours workplace coaching

Candidates and their coachee(s) evaluate each practice session. Evaluation sheets form part of the portfolio of evidence required. In addition candidates complete a portfolio of evidence containing a Coaching Diary/Learning Log, book reviews and a work based assignment. The portfolio will be discussed with the Tutor before being submitted to the ILM.

The Level 7 Diploma programme lasts for approximately 18 months and consists of:

  • Identical elements of the Certificate programme as above, with the addition of:
  • Three further workshops
  • 6 personal 1:1 tutorials

Review and Feedback

We will review with the client at the appropriate time the success of the training.

Success is evaluated through a variety of hard and soft measures, including specific targets, behavioural and attitudinal change, improvements in relationships, better communication, and any key success factors identified by the client.

Follow – On Requirements

Coaching is more than a stylistic approach to management. It can fundamentally alter the way individuals appreciate their own capacity to change their own behaviours and deliver far greater performance.

This shift can often require some nurturing, particularly in the embedding period.  We can provide ongoing support in the form of 1:1 coaching and supervision, group supervision, learning sets and additional skills/techniques workshops, as well as continuing to support the training and development function so the work becomes self-sustaining over time.
